Cover Pic: Return to Gormanston Indoor Hurling / Camogie

As we have just seen out the long month of January isn't it good to see a stretch in the evenings and Spring starting to appear. Despite the deep winter, it was great to still see plenty of activity around the club since the new year with our Annual Awards Night, Gormanston starting up, our Noel Group Winter Hurling/Camogie Blitz each Sunday and of course all our teams starting back training .We also launched our Mentors Handbook. But now the prep work is really getting going for the season ahead with many league matches scheduled to start in February.

Thanks to all our mentors and coaches who attended the launch of our new Mentors Handbook. Thanks to our Coaching Committee for putting together the detailed manual designed to assist and support all our mentors, players & parents. Copies can be got in the club and it's also up on our website.

Another great turnout for the Swords Memory Café in January despite the cold weather. Thanks to our Partners Carechoice and all our wonderful Fingallian's volunteers for their great work. Special thanks to Deirdre Doherty for her fantastic baking which went down a treat.

Dr. Noel McCaffrey put everyone through their paces with great exercise for balance and coordination and we also had great entertainment from the local playschool, finishing up the afternoon with everyone on their feet to some live music..
