Cover Pic: No amount of rain could dampen the spirits of our U/8 boys. !!

Despite a very wet start to our Nursery/Academy and Go Games last Saturday, it didn't appear to dampen spirits and all the children seemed delighted to be returning to their games. We were delighted to welcome lots of new faces and hopefully we will see lots more in the coming weeks.

Please remind all family and friends that we are always happy to welcome new members of any age. Also if you could circulate our posters on your Residents Whatsapp group, if permitted, that would be really appreciated.

Many thanks to Andrew and Mark of Defined Fitness Gym who dropped in at the weekend to donate an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to the club. Earlier this summer they ran a charity event in honour of their friend Ivan, where the members of their Bulletproof Dad gym program came together to raise funds. As we were only a short distance from the Gym they decided to donate one to us. We can not thank you enough lads, its much appreciated.

Message from Andrew & Mark
“Ivan suffered a cardiac arrest while at work one day and sadly passed away. He was a great lad and was taken far too soon. We wanted to donate a Defibrillator to a local club in his name so if someone ever suffered similar circumstances they will have instant access to a defibrillator. As we all know this dramatically increases their chances of surviving.
Due to restrictions over the last 2 years we weren’t able to run an event. So this year all the lads in our Bulletproof Dad program really came together and dug deep in their donations. And we actually raised enough for 2 defibrillators.
The AEDs we have chosen have both a child and adult setting. Hopefully this will never be needed. And will provide some peace of mind for all players and parents involved with the club. We have a fantastic community in our gym and I’m very proud of all the Bulletproof Dads efforts to make this happen.”

Thanks again to Mark & Andrew from Defined Fitness Gym and all The Bulletproof Dads.
